How to read a listing
The rating is the beginning, not the whole story.
Condition is assessed carefully but remains a judgement. We pair every rating with photographs and item-specific notes. Please review all three, as normal signs of age or use can look different across finishes and designs.
Our condition scale
Five clear categories.
New with tags
Unworn, with original retail tags still attached. Packaging is included only when stated.
New without tags
Appears unworn but no longer has retail tags attached. It may have been stored or handled.
Excellent
Very lightly worn, with minimal signs of use visible only on close inspection.
Very good
Gently worn, with small signs of use such as light surface marks but no major flaws.
Good
Clearly pre-owned, with visible wear reflected in the photographs and description, while remaining wearable.
What we look for
The details that matter.
- Missing, dull, chipped or replaced stones.
- Surface scratches, plating wear, tarnish or discolouration.
- Clasps, posts, hinges, chains and other moving parts.
- Evidence of repair, alteration or replacement components.
- Wear to boxes, pouches and paperwork where they are included.
